I also felt they were too fast to fall in love The romance is sweet even tho Its kinda cringy how Lana and Max met. The dreams mixed with past story kinda confused me, im okay with dream story inside the book as long as there aren’t much, but when they pop up pretty often I got confused which one is dream and which one is the reality on this book The parents are also horrible with their attitude and decisions I just want to strangled them I also don’t like some of the characters thoughts and decisions like drinking alcohols ( so many alcohols drink moments on this story), using weed, partying until late at night, going out with strangers, lied to your parents ect ect (call me no fun but that’s what I thought). maybe it will be better if there are some more background story and more character development about Lana and Max. However I really wish this book can engage me more with the characters, i don’t feel any emotional connection to any of the characters on this book even tho I really want to care and root for Lana and Max. This is such a great debut novel, I enjoy it because the writing style is easy to read and poetical, I also love the idea about this book, its sad and gloomy Thank you so much Ruth for sending me your book for honest review

Gloriously imagined, Boudica: Dreaming the Eagle recreates the beginnings of a story so powerful its impact has survived through the ages, recounting the journey to adulthood of Breaca, who at twelve kills her first warrior, and her sensitive, skilful half-brother Ban, who carries with him a vision of the future that haunts his waking hours. Above all, it is a world of passion and courage and spectacular, heart-felt heroism pitched against overwhelming odds. In the company of a supreme storyteller, the reader is plunged into the unforgettable world of tribal Britain in the years before the Romans came: a twilight world of Dreamers and the magic of the gods a world where horses and dogs and the landscape itself become characters in their own right where warriors fight for honour as much as victory. The first book in the blockbusting new series from global best seller Eoin Colfer. The Fowl Twins series, alternatively titled the Second Cycle of The Fowl Adventures, set five years later, follows Artemis' younger twin brothers as they live out their house arrest under the supervision of 'pixel' Lazuli Heitz, an elf-pixie hybrid, and NANNI, an artificial intelligence based on Holly's and Artemis' brainwaves. Prepare for an epic adventure in which The Fowl Twins and their new troll friend escape and get shot at, kidnapped, buried, arrested, threatened and killed (temporarily).and discover that the strongest bond in the world is not the one forged by covalent electrons in adjacent atoms but the one that exists between a pair of twins. In that time, they befriend a troll on the run from a nefarious nobleman and an interrogating nun, both of whom need the magical creature for their own gain. Myles is impeccably neat, has an IQ of 170 and 3-D prints a fresh suit every day - just like his older brother, Artemis Fowl.Ī week after their 11th birthday the twins are left in the care of house security system NANNI for a single night. Beckett is blonde, messy and sulks whenever he has to wear clothes. Myles and Beckett Fowl are twins, but the two boys are wildly different. The Breakers still lurk in the shadows, plotting to free the common man from his shackles, while noblemen bicker for their own advantage. Unrest worms into every layer of society. But grievances must be nursed, power seized, and allies gathered first, while Rikke must master the power of the Long Eye. But she still has all her ambitions, and no scruple will be permitted to stand in her way.įor heroes like Leo dan Brock and Stour Nightfall, only happy with swords drawn, peace is an ordeal to end as soon as possible. Savine dan Glokta, once Adua’s most powerful investor, finds her judgment, fortune, and reputation in tatters. Peace is just another kind of battlefield. A fragile peace gives way to conspiracy, betrayal, and rebellion in this sequel to the New York Times bestselling A Little Hatred from epic fantasy master Joe Abercrombie. genealogy, maps, appendix, bibliography & index at rear. “…Why do we desire, above all other things, that which has the greatest power to destroy us?” Because secretly, her Craft represents a threat the fair folk have never faced in all the millennia of their unchanging lives: for the first time, her portraits have the power to make them feel. Now both of their lives are forfeit, unless Isobel can use her skill as an artist to fight the fairy courts. Their alliance blossoms into trust, then love-and that love violates the fair folks’ ruthless laws. Waylaid by the Wild Hunt’s ghostly hounds, the tainted influence of the Alder King, and hideous monsters risen from barrow mounds, Isobel and Rook depend on one another for survival. She paints mortal sorrow in his eyes-a weakness that could cost him his life.įurious and devastated, Rook spirits her away to the autumnlands to stand trial for her crime. But when she receives her first royal patron-Rook, the autumn prince-she makes a terrible mistake. They crave human Craft with a terrible thirst, and Isobel’s paintings are highly prized. Isobel is a prodigy portrait artist with a dangerous set of clients: the sinister fair folk, immortal creatures who cannot bake bread, weave cloth, or put a pen to paper without crumbling to dust.
